DURAMAX Exhaust, Intake & Programmer Performance Combo- (Diesel Power Magazine feature)
Laguna Speed Shop set out one morning to meet up with the editor of Diesel Power Magazine and Advanced Flow Engineering in Corona, CA. for a long day of installs, dyno tests, pictures, notes & bad jokes to pass the time throughout the day. The trucks were both equipped with approx 33" tires, and leveling kits. This article is now present in the June issue of Diesel Power, Volume 4 tittles "Duramax vs. Powerstroke"

Both the Duramax & Powerstroke kits are offered in different options:
Option 1- Exhaust Material: T409 Stainless Steel (resists rust) or Aluminized Steel (good for dry weather)
Option 2- Cat-back vs. Turbo Back:
"Cat back" refers to the catalytic converter back style exhaust system. This system will produce less power, and allow less exhaust flow, but will still retain your factory warranty.
"Turbo Back" installs from the turbo (or in the Duramax's case, from the factory flanged cast iron downpipe-back) and will produce the highest amount of exhaust flow, allowing the turbo to spool faster and allowing hot exhaust gases to escape much faster.
Option 3- Select a Tip: AFE exhaust tips are included ONLY if you ordering a stainless steel exhaust. All aluminized exhaust systems do not include tips

AFE LARGE BORE 4" EXHAUST SYSTEM:
AFE's Large Bore 4" Exhaust System Getting the air in will give you more power. Getting the air out will give you more power. When you get more air in and out at the same time, you get a lot more power. With our 4" exhaust systems are mandrel bent aluminized steel which eliminates the sharp bends and kinks that the factory stock exhaust systems have. The aluminized steel resists corrosion as well as stainless steel but is priced more economically.
AFE uses a large 8" diameter straight flow AFE muffler, which does a good job of letting the air out as well.
The 5" diameter AFE Exhaust tip finishes up the entire system for a nice throaty sound and appearance enhancement. (AFE Exhaust Tip included in all Stainless systems)
AFE's entire system comes with adjustable clamps, muffler and sectional tubing for easy installation whether you have a standard, extended or crew cab vehicle Ford Powerstroke, Chevy Duramax or Dodge Cummins diesel.
